Rhinoplasty — the natural harmony that belongs to your face
Surgical reshaping of the nose to restore harmony with your face. Performed with piezoelectric ultrasonic technology for precise bone work with less soft-tissue trauma and a gentler recovery profile.

What is rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty and facial balance
Rhinoplasty is one of the most technically demanding procedures in aesthetic surgery. The nose sits at the centre of the face — even small changes can affect how the whole face is perceived. This is why I approach every rhinoplasty with a single guiding principle: the result should look like it was always there.
The procedure can address the bridge, tip, nostrils, columella, and septum — either separately or in combination. It can be purely cosmetic, purely functional (correcting a deviated septum and improving breathing), or both simultaneously. For international patients, combining cosmetic and functional work in a single session is often the most efficient approach.
Why I use piezoelectric ultrasonic technology
Traditional rhinoplasty uses osteotomes — small chisels — to cut and reposition nasal bones. Piezo uses focused ultrasonic vibration instead, allowing more precise bone work with less disruption to surrounding soft tissue. The result: less bruising, less swelling, faster recovery, and more controlled bone work. Not every patient requires Piezo — in some cases closed or open technique with conventional instruments is the right choice — but for cases involving significant bone reshaping, I consistently reach for it.
Surgical approach
How the procedure works
01
Consultation & planning
We start with a detailed analysis of your facial proportions — not just the nose in isolation. I use digital imaging to simulate potential outcomes. This conversation shapes the entire surgical plan.
02
Anesthesia
All rhinoplasties are performed under general anaesthesia for complete comfort. The procedure typically takes 2–4 hours depending on complexity.
03
Open or closed technique
In selected patients, a closed technique keeps all incisions inside the nose — no visible scars. For more complex reshaping, an open approach via a small columellar incision gives greater precision and visibility. I choose based on your anatomy and goals, not habit.
04
Bone & cartilage work
Bone reduction and repositioning with Piezo where appropriate. Cartilage can be reduced, reshaped, or augmented with grafts — often harvested from the septum itself. Tip refinement is the most artistically demanding part of the procedure.
05
Closure & splinting
Dissolvable sutures internally, external splint for 5–7 days. Internal splints may be placed if septum work was performed.
Are you a good candidate?
Who is rhinoplasty right for?
Rhinoplasty may be suitable if you have one or more of the following concerns — and are in good general health, have realistic expectations, and are over 18 years of age.
A dorsal hump or raised bridge
A wide, bulbous, or drooping tip
A deviated septum causing breathing difficulty
Disproportionate nose size relative to the face
Thick or wide nasal sidewalls
Recovery
What to expect after surgery
Piezo technique significantly reduces bruising and swelling compared to conventional rhinoplasty. Most patients are presentable within 2–3 weeks, though the nose continues to refine over 6–12 months as residual swelling resolves — particularly at the tip.

FAQ
Common questions
In closed rhinoplasty, all incisions are inside the nose — no external scars at all. In open rhinoplasty, the columellar incision is placed in a natural crease and typically fades to near-invisibility within a few months. Scarring is rarely a concern in experienced hands.
You will look socially presentable within 2–3 weeks. At 3 months, roughly 70–80% of the final result is visible. The tip in particular continues to refine over 6–12 months as deep swelling gradually resolves. Patience is part of the process.
Yes — and it is often the most sensible approach. Combining cosmetic rhinoplasty with a septoplasty means a single anaesthetic, a single recovery period, and the opportunity to use septal cartilage for grafts during the same procedure. For international patients especially, this is frequently the right choice.
That is the goal. Rhinoplasty should improve balance without making the nose look separate from the rest of the face. The plan is based on your anatomy, skin thickness, facial proportions, and what can be changed safely. Rather than chasing a generic nose shape, I focus on a result that looks natural, proportionate, and believable on your face.
Most international rhinoplasty patients stay in Istanbul for 5–7 days. Your first consultation, pre-operative tests, surgery, and first follow-up check all take place here. After returning home, we continue with scheduled video check-ups and direct WhatsApp access. You are never without support.
